Sister Art Sister Online Gallery of Art by Women |
|
The SisterArtSister.com concept originated with two sisters, Jeanne Sheridan and Linda Stonestreet. Both in their "middle" years, they have embarked upon a new passion -- photography and oil painting respectively. While planning their own websites, they soon realized that they should combine their efforts online. With that in mind, SisterArtSister.com was born.
Jeanne and Linda have also decided to invite other female artists in need of online exposure to show their artwork here as well. If you are interested in showcasing your artwork in this online gallery, please contact us now.

Linda Stonestreet is an artist who was born and raised in St.Albans, WV and currently resides in Hurricane, WV. She came to the art world late after raising her sons and establishing a business with her husband Paul. However, art has always been a part of her life.
"I have always loved art of any kind but especially abstracts. The striking combination of color, form, and emotion appeals to me."
But she is not limited to abstracts.
"I painted a grizzly bear for my husband but it ended up on my living room wall instead of his den because he said it doesn't look scary enough. I love it because it looks like a cuddly bear."

Jeanne Sheridan is a photographer living in Rabbit Hash, Kentucky, a Northern Kentucky hub of tradition and historic treasures. Photography is her mid-life creative pursuit having worked as a professional musician for over 25 years from coast to coast.
"I have always loved taking pictures. When I got my first "Instamatic" camera for Christmas, I went out to take pictures of the snow rather than snapshots of holiday moments. I became fascinated with the intense contrast between the snow and dark water running for its life before completely freezing over."
Most of Jeanne's work is outdoor nature photography although she is beginning to incorporate people as subjects as well.
