Artistic Statement

Landscapes and nature are my first love. I find especially old things interesting with their age telling many stories. Snow is a phenomenon I didn't see much of while living in Southern California. I truly enjoy my winter treks into the woods and lanes of Rabbit Hash.

I am also excited about "shooting" people. Let me rephrase that... I like to take pictures of people. Better, yes? My interest was jogged when I did a photo shoot with my 14 year old niece in West Virginia.

My most recent project is to capture the beauty of the mature woman. Seems she is overlooked in a society that regards youth as beautiful and age as the enemy. My goal is to capture the "spirit" of the mature woman whereas she is beautiful both inside and out. Physical attributes are a minor asset... It's who she is, not what she looks like that I aim to capture on film.
